University Farmer's Market

Getting fresh and locally raised produce, meat and other items just got easier: The new University Farmers' Market is held every Tuesday from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, from May through mid-November(will re-open in the spring) at the University Plaza Park across from the Medical Center's main entrance.

As part of its "green" initiative, the Medical Center has partnered with the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and the local community to host the market, which features fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, eggs, poultry, seafood, meat, baked goods and homemade ice cream. Farmers will come from Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil and Garrett counties and Pennsylvania. The farmers use environmentally sustainable procedures, including fewer pesticides and no antibiotics or growth hormones.
