Maryland General Hospital
Maryland General Hospital offers a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient health care services. On Nov. 11, 1874, six Sisters of Mercy arrived in Baltimore to take charge of a health dispensary called the Baltimore City Hospital. Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood’s mission is for all Marylanders to have access to a wide range of high-quality, affordable reproductive health care services to help individuals make informed decisions about their reproductive health, family planning options and sexuality. Planned Parenthood of Maryland offers the following services: birth control methods, reproductive exams, pregnancy testing and options counseling, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, HIV testing and counseling, and abortion (medical and surgical). Most Maryland Medical Assistance and most major commercial insurance plans are accepted and a sliding fee scale is available for those without insurance who qualify.
